You will create an infographic using Piktochart or Canva to present to the class describing an organ.

RESEARCH
Always begin with the online encyclopedia databases at NCWISEOwl. Choose Brittanica or Kids InfoBits (make sure you choose an encyclopedia article)

When using Google look for quality web sites. Ask the following of each web site:
1. Should you use Wikipedia? (Hint: Not as a reference.)
2. Is the site current? (You want current info b/c medicine changes.)
3. Who is the author or organization that created the site? Is this person an expert? Is it a trusted organization?
4. What is the purpose of the site? To educate? To sell? To persuade?
5. How does the URL (web address) end? Is it .gov, .edu, .com, org? What does this tell you?
Taking Notes and Citing your Sources:
You must keep up with your sources: Please log in to your school Google account, make a copy of this Google Doc Source Note Sheet and use it to organize your notes and source information. Every time you take notes from a source, you must cite that source.
Use Easy Bib to create citations for your sources.
Online Poster/Infographic Options
Canva - Under Blogging and ebooks, choose Infographic. When you click share you can type your teacher's email address and send it directly to him/her.
Piktochart - Use Infographic. When you click share, click "make public." You will be given a link, you will then email this link to Mr. Marion. You must access your email and past the link into the email.

Some images are copyrighted and cannot be used, to ensure you aren't violating copyright law, you need to filter your images. See below for how to do this using Google images:
Go to Google and type in your search term.
Click Images
Click Settings
Click Advanced Search
At the very bottom of the Advanced Search screen see Usage Rights and click the down arrow: Choose free to use, share, or modify
Click the blue Advanced Search button.
